WHAT WE BELIEVE
CONFESSION AND COMMITMENT
We confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We walk with Him by faith. We commit ourselves to know Him in full sanctifying grace. We purpose to live our lives in a way that will be a testimony to the Lord.
TOWARDS GOD
We reverence and worship God. We commit ourselves to cultivate habits of Christian devotion, submitting to mutual accountability, practicing private and corporate prayer, studying the Holy Scriptures, attending public worship, and partaking in Holy Communion with the Church.
We observe the Lord’s Day, setting it apart for worship, renewal, service and fellowship with the Body of Christ.
We give our loyalty to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to His Church, refraining from any alliance which would compromise our Christian commitment.
TOWARDS OURSELVES AND OTHERS
As Christians, we strive to live a wholesome and holy life, to show mercy to all, to minister to both their physical and spiritual needs.
We commit ourselves to be free from activities and attitudes that defile the mind and harm the body.
We commit ourselves to respect the worth of all people as created in the image of God.
We commit ourselves to strive to be honest in all our relationships and dealings.
TOWARDS THE INSTITUTIONS OF GOD
We honor and support the God-ordained institutions of family, state and church.
We honor the sanctity of marriage, as described in the Holy Scriptures to be between one man and one woman. We honor the sanctity of family. We reject the practice, affirmation or advocacy of homosexuality, alternative lifestyles, co-habitation or any other sexual activity outside the bonds of Holy Matrimony.
We commit ourselves to value, protect and nurture children, guiding them to faith in Christ.
We commit ourselves to seek to be responsible citizens, and we will pray for all who are elected to lead, that God may guide them and give them a heart to seek the Holy Spirit as their divine counsel.
TOWARDS THE CHURCH OF CHRIST
We commit ourselves to contribute to the unity of the church, cultivating integrity, love, hope and understanding in all our relationships; and to walk in love with fellow members, endeavoring to “keep the unity of the Spirit in bond and peace” (Eph. 4:3), which includes love, forgiveness, and intentional, active, and diligent effort. We purpose to attend services faithfully, as God enables us to, with a heart prepared to worship and to receive His instruction. We purpose to pray for the pastors, for the board, and for all who are in positions of authority and ministry within the church. We purpose to pray for our brothers and sisters here as they have need, and as God lays them on our hearts.
We practice the principles of tithing and Christian stewardship, for the glory of God and the growth of the church; to give regularly as God prospers us, and to serve with our treasures, time and talents as God enables us.
We commit ourselves to the Great Commission as Christ commands us, to confess Jesus Christ as our Lord, King and Savior, to go out into the world and to make disciples of all nations for our Messiah.
